As a Real Estate Agent, I know a lot about neighborhoods: central, suburban, north south, they all have something different to offer and love about them. I’ll tell you one thing I know for sure, Ain’t no hood like Motherhood! (do you know how long I’ve been waiting to find a way to tie that into a letter?! I may be a mom, but my humor tends toward dad jokes). Motherhood can be rough at times, but it is the most beautiful hood there is!
Moms are typically doing a lot for others. This year especially, with the COVID-19 pandemic, moms around the world are taking on roles of full-time teacher, full-time stay-at-home parent and, in many cases, also full-time employee (yes, that’s THREE full-time jobs). On the other hand, some moms now have the title of Grandma and may have been isolated for several weeks. It’s a tough change of pace for both ends of the spectrum. So, while we all have been feeling stressed, tired, overworked, and scared, this month goes to the Moms out there! (Dads, you’ll get your turn next month.)
Mother’s Day is a great time to show your love and appreciate the heck out of moms.
